I get that, but I think his tv show brings in a lot of information. He is really connected. Somehow, he got Saban to appear every week after an initial guest appearance. Coach knew a good opportunity to market his program. I don't like him too much on Gameday. He has a two-hour time slot on ESPN, and a third hour on ESPN+ and YouTube. For example, last night he talked to the refs before the game, and they said they are going to let the boys play. Pat was a punter at WVU and the Colts. So, he was not happy with the non-call on the roughing the punter. He asked the ref at half, and the ref responded that the punter left this leg out too long. Refs also didn't call the out of bounds hit on JJ.
He is killing it viewer wise. Target audience is obviously directed at younger viewers.
According to ESPN PR, the Pat McAfee Show boasted a whopping 242 million viewers across all platforms between September 7 and September 29. The more specific data is equally impressive. ESPN reported an average of 1.4 million viewers per show across their linear stations and YouTube.
