184: Brooks vs. Washington

First period:
Washington gets the first takedown and is up 2-0. Brooks out to 2-1. Then drops down on a leg and scores for 3-2 lead.

Second period
Brooks down to start second. Quickly escapes then gets a takedown. It's 6-2. Washington escape. Brooks snaps and goes and its another takedown. 8-3 now. Stall warning on Washington, who looks totally gassed. Period ends there.

Third period
Washington down to start third. He's out. Brooks gets a takedown and tried to lock up a cradle but couldn't. Brooks wins, 13-4 major.

197: Dean vs. Nick Willham

First period
No early action. Dean gets the first takedown, it's 2-0, and starts working for a bow and arrow with about a minute left. That's how the period ends/

Second period
Dean escapes, and nothing else of note. 3-0 Dean.

Third period
Dean up 6-0. Willham escapes to 6-1. Then gets a takedown to 8-1. Rides out and with riding time its an 8-1 major.

Penn State 24, Indiana 11

Dual is salted away.

285: Greg Kerkvliet vs. Jacob Bullock

First period
Quick takedown for Kerkvliet and a 2-0 lead. Escape, then another takedown. 237.6 is Kerkvliet weight per Byers. He leads 4-1 and then tilts for four. It's 8-1. Takedown and escapes makes its 10-2.

Second period
Kerkvliet hits a double and gets a stall point to 13-2, then an escape, to 13-3. Kerkvliet nails a double, 15-3. Tilts and that's it. Kerkvliet wins 20-3 in 4:59.

Final score: Penn State 29, Indiana 11

125: Hildbrandt vs. Jacob Moran

First period
Hildebrandt scores the initial takedown for a 2-0 lead late in the first period.

Second period
Moran gets a quick reversal out of the gate. It's 2-2, but Hildebrandt escapes to 3-2. That's the score at the end of the third.

Third period
Hildebrandt reverses for a 5-2 lead off the jump. Stalling point makes it 6-2. Hildebrandt rides out. He wins, 6-2.

Boy, its nice to have an AA caliber guy wrestling 125 again!! Nice weekend Drew!!

Observation about Beau and his style (coming from a previous official).
Against Iowa and possibly Michigan, every match is going to be critical. 49 is going to be a swing bout.
In Carver, they are going to be screaming for stalling. Beau is going to have to open it up and take more shots. If he doesn't, I would estimate 80% probability that he is hit for stalling 2x during bout giving Murin a point. 60% probability that he is hit 3x and gives up 2 points.
He generally does a good job of standing his ground and not retreating, but we all know how Iowa often pushes guys around making it look like they are the aggressor thus drawing stall calls.

First time this year that Max looks human and not like a machine.

One thing that worries me about Max is that he doesn’t always finish shots cleanly. Against top competition, he’s gonna need that one (maybe two) takedowns. AJ will be tough as hell to take down.
The way to slow dean down is do absolutely nothing for 7 minutes
