285: Greg Kerkvliet vs. Lucas Davison (LD)

247.6 vs. 232.6

Using Intermat's rankings, that's #1 vs. #4

Per 1
Kerk grabs an ankle but LD kicks away. Kerk in on a low single, he has LD dancing, and drives thru with a double for the TD, 3-0. LD works up and Kerk basically cuts him, 3-1. Kerk sort of shoots, nothing. En.d RT @ 10 sec for Kerk

Per 2
LD defers, so Kerk takes bottom. Kerk starts to work up then switches and is out, 4-1. Then he's in on a double for a TD, 7-1. OOB with 1:21. LD works to his base, then to his feet, and he's out, 7-2. 1:04 left. Kerk reaches for an ankle, and a stall call on LD (no TD). LD shoots a double, Kerk sprawls and has LD in a headlock. End. RT @ 27 sec for Kerk

Per 3
LD takes bottom. LD to a r-pt stance, then back down. Ker worked a 2-on-1, then just a single wrist that he takes to a bar, but loses it. RT goes over 1 min for Kerk. LD is flat. Stalemate with 1:02 left. LD up and back, then works to his feet and is out with 50 sec, 7-3. RT is locked. LD reaches, nothing. LD shoots a single, Kerk sprawls, starts to come around but the buzzer sounds. With RT it's an 8-3 DEC for Kerk

Per 1
MD looks like a cave man with his beard. Davis reaches, nothing. Davis working an overhaul, but now they separate. Davis in on a head outside single, but MD sprawls, nothing. MD has undercooks, and tries a bit of a throw-by, nothing. 1:30 left. Davis working overhooks, but they separate with 50 sec left. Davis shoots a double and it looked good but MD sprawled out of it. Davis reaches, nothing. End

Per 2
MD takes bottom. He hits a roll, but Davis stays with him. MD to his feet, but returned. To his feet, and they are on the edge, and OOB with 1:28 left. Caution on Davis on the restart. MD to a 4-pt stance, then hits a roll, Davis with him. MD to his feet, returned, and then Davis turns him but doesn't get swipes (it wasn't blow 45). MD back to his knees, and works to his feet, and they are OOB with 32 sec. Stall call on Davis. MD works to his feet, is tripped down, and MD hits a roll, Davis goes for a cradle but loses it, so MD gets an esc with @ 14 sec left, 0-1 End. Davis with 1:46 in RT

Per 3
Davis takes bottom. Davis sits out and grabs a leg, he tries to come out the back, he's working, and he's ut, 1-1. RT is at 59 sec for Davis, but PSU throws a brick. They seem to think the RT should be above 1 min. On replay, it looks as though RT should be 1:01 or 1:00. Good challenge, as RT is changed to 1:00. 1:00 let in the match. Davis tries to get behind, nothing. 30 sec left. Davis reaches, nothing. MD tries a throw and Davis slips under and behind for the TD, 4-1. With 1:07 in RT, it's a 5-1 DEC for Davis!!!

Davis definitely had the 1:00 riding time
Braeden Davis is a beast! Mich, per usual, tries clock shenanigans, but rightfully reversed. He has super conditioning and is super strong for his Bo Nickal noodle arms

Even dagostino stalls and doesn’t shoot. Amazing. Great win for Davis. I was yelling at tv when the timer clicked it to 59. Cheating Michigan again.
