Step 2. Fire the guy 9 months after you hire a guy you never should have hired

Step 3. Be the “example”

Say what you want, but Sam Pittman has been about as far from the “example” you want from a HC. I’m sure guys will be lining up to work for him now. There’s a reason Briles left an OC job in the SEC to go run Sonny Dykes offense.

The example I'm speaking of is having the wisdom to know someone needs to be fired and the balls to do it.
Our defense is in shambles.

If Pitmen gets canned what about him for OL coach? Or is he like Muschamp and can only do good with only 4 and 5 star players?

He'd likely get snatched up by someone higher profile. No way Beamer is going to let Teasley go after one season, though, especially given the OL injuries. It's too bad, PIttman would absolutely be an upgrade.

We don't make big boy moves like that. Saban went out and hired Lane Kiffin and they won a title, even though they basically couldn't stand each other.
