Playing for our season on Saturday

If we can't beat MSU at home on Saturday, then it's time to fold it up for the season. They just got boat raced at home by LSU, gaining only 201 yards of total offense, while allowing over 500. Granted, we aren't LSU, but this game is very winnable and it's a must-win. Lose, and we fall to 1-3 and will be staring down the barrel of a 1-6 start. Win, and we go into Knoxville at 2-2, one game off schedule. That game looks more winnable as their offense has taken a significant step back and their D is still suspect. It's still a game in Knoxville, so I don't expect a win but it's winnable. If we can do THAT then we're back on schedule, having swapped a UNC loss for a UT win. But it all starts this Saturday. If we don't win this Saturday, it's a moot point and the season is over.

That about sums it up.
If we set our goal to win the next two games, and succeed, then we are back in business.
The season is not lost yet. So far, we're a team that had a clunker against arguably the best QB in college football in our opening game and just played respectably against the #1 team in the nation in their home stadium.

But it feels like the season sits on a knife's edge with this MSU game.

Entering our 4th game and this week seems to have more pins and needles sticking in me than the others.
I'm talking giant pins and needles. Season saver game IMO.

But the opportunity is there. Hoping we have a lot of loud fans in the stands. And, play the players that can
give us the best chance to win. Whoever they are.

Certainly helps that it's a night game at home. That means no cowbell. And those noon games often catch fans and players in the doldrums. Hopefully we can make it a great atmosphere.
