For me pop music has almost always been crap. I don't think the stuff you hear today is any different than New Kids on the Block, NSYNC, Back Street Boys, etc.
However, Billy Eilish has a pretty mature voice for her age and Bruno Mars (and Silk Sonic) has a pretty great sound. If you like modern Bluegrass, Billy Strings had a brief appearance (and grammy winner) last night.

There is great music still being made today, but unfortunately you have to seek it out. You're not going to hear a lot of it on the radio, or other common outlets.

Billy and the Kids was quite a treat for those still on the bus

Since streaming radio stations is a thing, check out WXPN out of Phila. They introduced me to this group along with many other newer groups. There is good music being made these days but you have to seek it out on stations like this. Truly a unique station.

Long time sustaining member of WXPN... stream it throughout the house and in the car - my wife would argue 24 x 7. And Wet Leg is one of many new music discoveries for me. Check out Fontaines D.C. from Dublin as well for another (discovered them a few years ago and enjoying their new release)
