South Carolina is NOT a power running team and we aren’t going to be this year! Every week Beemer says we’re gonna run the football. No, you’re not, you don’t have the personnel to run the ball! You don’t have an offensive line that can get push and you don’t have two or three strong running backs. But every week “ We’re gonna run the ball” you have a great quarter back develop 4 or 5 receivers instead of one and throw the damn ball! Your defense can’t stop the run. You’re going to have to out score every team you play. When you can’t make 2 yards in 3 plays quit trying to run the ball. Zero, none, nada creativity in play calling. Teach your offensive line to pass block, find 4 or 5 people who can get open and catch the ball and THROW IT. Einstein said continuing to do the same thing and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity, obviously we dont have any Einstein coaches.

What is baffling to me is we have no blitz-beating run scheme. With our o-line that would be the very first thing I tried to implement. I certainly don’t expect to have a team that can run it down the other team’s throat, but it has to be done to keep teams like TN last night from pinning their ears back and blitzing almost every play.
We have to be able to run the ball. That doesn't mean we sacrifice passing. If we don't have some kind of running game we loose even with Rattler playing lights out. What we need to change is to keep Anderson in on every play with the exception of a breather. Joyner is not a running back and JuJu is too small to run up the middle. The problem with passing ever play is that we need XL and Juice for that. Without Juice, XL gets isolated and eliminated like last night by good defenses. Juice is able to take that short passing game and turn it into a TD. The other receivers can't do that...
