Look up the logical fallacy "Appeal to Ignorance."Prove me wrong.
Actually they don’t because they beat us last season. Thanks.Nebraska and Scott Frost say, "hold my beer."
You know I was thinking about this. Why is Nebraska terrible? Because they left the easy big twelve conference. Just wait until Texas and Oklahoma join the sec. dumbest decision they ever made!!! Now maybe saban will be retired by then and they have a better chance but they gave up their 1-2 loss season every single year for good.Nebraska and Scott Frost say, "hold my beer."
It was a disappointing season. For sure. Some of our fans are emotionally damaged and in this state lack the ability to logically reason. It's their time to vent in order to get over the pain of the team losing games and CJF getting a ten year contract. Making categorical statements without any argument is a good way to vent. It's the classic logical fallacy of "Appeal to Ignorance." It feels good and helps with healing.
I agree and have further concerns that his great recruiting may suffer as a result of his weaknesses. Then the program is in serious trouble.Maybe that’s a bit of hyperbole, but he definitely is not in the top 50% of BCS coaches. Great recruiter, but below average at prepping his team for games and maybe bottom 10% for in-game coaching. The proof is in his record and his team’s performances, especially in critical games.
Apologists, can you name any football fundamentals where Penn State has improved under Franklin ???
If he is such a great recruiter why dose PSU only 4 1st round picks in 8 years. Bama has 4 to 6 1st round picks a year. Maybe he is not such a great recruiter either.Maybe that’s a bit of hyperbole, but he definitely is not in the top 50% of BCS coaches. Great recruiter, but below average at prepping his team for games and maybe bottom 10% for in-game coaching. The proof is in his record and his team’s performances, especially in critical games.
Not an apologist, I happen to think that Franklin has his job cut out for him, he has a lot to work on and not sure if he's up to the task.Apologists, can you name any football fundamentals where Penn State has improved under Franklin ???
Blocking, tackling, pass coverage, third downs, special teams??
A long time ago someone from Vanderbilt posted on this board “be careful what you wish for”
How right that poster was.
I like Franklin, and I think he's the right guy for the job. Time will tell if that's right or wrong. You are a bigger Franklin fanboy than @AWS1022

I notice Nitt1300 resorts to name calling rather quickly, (product of his environment) but he never answered the question posed above. I wonder…who’s the real “idiot”.I like Franklin, and I think he's the right guy for the job. Time will tell if that's right or wrong.
What I know is that PSU is NOT " THE WORST coached team in the FBS..period." And that only a complete idiot would make such a statement- or support it.
I don't wonder- at allI notice Nitt1300 resorts to name calling rather quickly, (product of his environment) but he never answered the question posed above. I wonder…who’s the real “idiot”.
How much time?I like Franklin, and I think he's the right guy for the job. Time will tell if that's right or wrong.

That's easy......Auburn......Player runs out of bounds yesterday instead of killing clock.......their Coach has no balls and doesn't go for two with a chance to win on one play (they did not get another chance to win with one play).......and they lost to PSU. So......I think you are wrong......possibly....
Oh, touché. I’ll make the question even easier (for you) . Name a Power 5 school that makes more coaching mistakes than JF on any given Saturday? Week in week out.I don't wonder- at all
I used to be in your camp. No longer. Not that I agree he's the worst coach in FBS, but I think time has told. What we've seen will be the norm rather than the exception. Personally, I'm not interested in devoting any more time to that sort of mediocrity.I like Franklin, and I think he's the right guy for the job. Time will tell if that's right or wrong.

If we aren't playing for a B1G title in the next two-three years I'd make a changeHow much time?
I gave you a long list- pick one.Oh, touché. I’ll make the question even easier (for you) . Name a Power 5 school that makes more coaching mistakes than JF on any given Saturday? Week in week out.
I understand that opinions on Franklin will vary- it was the original statement that I took issue with- and still do. To suggest that he is the worst coach in the business is simply idiotic.I used to be in your camp. No longer. Not that I agree he's the worst coach in FBS, but I think time has told. That seems reasonable. If we aren't playing for a B1G title in the next two-three years I'd make a change

Never ever said he was the worst coach in FBS. I said “PS is worst coached team in FBS”. Two completely different statements.
Again, I never said JF is the worst coach in FBS. I said “PS is the worst coached team”.I understand that opinions on Franklin will vary- it was the original statement that I took issue with- and still do. To suggest that he is the worst coach in the business is simply idiotic.
I’ll take the 2 star OL like Iowa, Minn., and Wisc. that have heart and grit. Not this trash with all their stars.I remember a coach that said don’t worry about the players you don’t get just worry about coaching up the ones you do get. He made a career out of coaching up 3 and 4 star kids in to winners. Well they say we are getting great players every year so that tells me it’s the coaching staff that’s failing the team.
