I watched the game while visiting my cousin in California. My best friend was there in the student section, and he said he's never been colder in his entire life.
Probably why we haven't seen it.... takes time to edit Joe outI was at that game also, and I am still shivering from it. It was a cold that went straight through to your bones.
I have not seen this game on BTN before - think they edit out Joe?
On Sirius BTN radio, they do promos for each school and for Penn State they mention Peachy Paterno, so maybe some small step forward in the slander done against Joe.Probably why we haven't seen it.... takes time to edit Joe out

The Anti Joe crowd.Who won?
I remember going to the bathroom under North stands...froze my nuts off! It was my first experience with shrinkage!!I was at that game also, and I am still shivering from it. It was a cold that went straight through to your bones.

I hope they don't edit him out; he uttered one of his better one-liners to a sideline reporter after the game. He was asked what was going through his mind when Penn State stopped ND's 2-point conversion attempt to win the game, and he said something like "I don't know, but I guess we had a couple of Catholics praying for US!"I was at that game also, and I am still shivering from it. All you saw at the end was Holtz walking off the field. They cut the postgame coach’s handshake. ******* rotten bastards.I hope they don't edit him out; he uttered one of his better one-liners to a sideline reporter after the game. I was 14 when this game was played, but I was at a high school game about an hour east of State College that day. Coldest event (sporting or otherwise) I've ever attended. One of the players on my team took a hit that pushed a couple of his teeth through his cheek, but he didn't even know he was hurt because his face was so numb. This was 100 percent the coldest game psu played in. It was ridiculous and yet everyone stayed until a great ending
Forgot ho good Blair was…..If I remember correctly, the day before was not that cold. We sat in the top row of EJ. There were some college age nd fans near us. They were not dressed for the weather. Penn State fans were lending them blankets.
In game-time temperatures of 18 degrees, with a wind chill that made it colder and a wind that made passing and kicking hazardous, the Nittany Lions warmed up for their 1988 vacation to Disney World by pushing the Fighting Irish all over the field. They opened holes for Thomas that Dumbo the elephant could have run through. They helped him become the first Penn State back to gain 200 yards since Curt Warner got 256 against Syracuse in 1981.
