PSU appears to be changing the grass field at Beaver Stadium ahead of Maryland.

Also do it now so it's in good shape for a potential playoff game?? Hopefully mid-November isn't too late.
the last time I recall them changing turf it wound up being a problem with turf coming up during the games. the turf has to be fully functional in 12 days. is there a reason that they would touch this at this point? they could have done this last week.

One season about a decade ago, PSU Turf Management had the GCSAA positions at all 4 major golf tournaments. I don't question their ability to grow/maintain grass much.

There's an approaching major low pressure system accompanied with cold temperatures.... too chilly to propagate meaningful root growth.

I don't know what PSU Football Inc is doing with the turf. They cut it really short earlier in the year (looked like crap) and then let it grow so that it looked nice vs Washington.

Hopefully they'll replace that "script" in the end zones with this, from the last time Penn State won a national championship:

My dad or grandfather told me how they used to have a different type of grass every 5 yards. They did this because they were an agriculture school. Pfft! I see they're rolling it right out and gittin" er done.

Didn’t espn guy just say a couple of weeks ago the turf was the best he has ever seen anywhere? It was perfect. Perhaps they are putting down grass that southern golf courses put down for the winter months. Since it is psu they just put down sod instead of overseeding.

Tell her if she tends to her Beaver with as much care as Penn State does-then she might be able to get a better performance from you when you play on it.
Got to keep the Beaver well groomed and trimmed for maximum performance....
