I'm setting this up in advance, as I have a pretty busy day. Please use it for all pre-dual, in-dual, and post-dual discussions about the PSU - Army dual. If you are responding to a post, please use the Quote function.

When - 7 pm EST

Where - Rec Hall (PSU)

TV - none

Video Streaming - subscribers of BTN+ can stream the video of the match. You can subscribe at:

Audio Streaming - as usual, the radio PBP will be streamed for free by PSU. Byers will start the pre-match part of the show at 6:45 pm EST. You can access the audio stream at:

PBP - I don't think I'm going to be available for PBP. Sorry. I hope that one or more of you will step up and provide some PBP. As always, I remind folks to give the score (either at the end of the period or at the end of the match, depending on how you're posting) and to also give the match score after each match. It helps those that can't access the video or the audio stream, but are trying to follow the match action.

Carry over from another thread…..

Question on B1G Ten+, if I subscribe to just Penn State for the $9.00 a month. That will give me all the matches that PS has against other Big Ten schools and other sports as well correct? I’m thinking on doing a monthly for the season, then ESPN takes over for nationals.

Correct. Did exactly that since BTN+ became available.

I second that emotion. Won't be able to listen due to work, but I might be able to sneak a few peeks at the PBP.

I am very excited to see our guys for the first time this year. I was at the game last Saturday so I missed the Spooky Nook duals that I would have went to had I not gone to the game.

Thanks @Tom McAndrew. I am close to having my steam issue resolved and will be monitoring as well and ready for a jump in if needed.

Enjoy the match, everyone!

So, lots of wrestlers announced for both squads.

Also, looks like it will be the wrestling crowd that challenges the mask ordinance.

With a lot of wrestlers being introduced, I don't understand why they would hold out our big guns for the home opener which has had no fans in two years. I expect our big guns to go at those weights with the exception of 141lbs.

I might be crazy but I feel like when I covered the team in college 2011-2015 there was many a match when the opponent was announcing a lot of guys so PSU did too just for the heck of it. My memory may be shot, but feel like I’ve seen that move before and then everything goes (mostly) as expected.

Chauvin to his feet and he's out, 5-1. Chauvin shoots and in on the legs, they scramble, eventually a stalemate with 10 sec left. End. RT @ 1:45 for Shunk.

Per 3
Chauvin takes bottom. Shunk with a nice ride. He works another 2-on-1, can't get anything with it. RT is assured for Shunk. Stall warning on Shunk, then Chauvin up and he's out, 5-2. Second period ride out for Meredith. 2-0 Shie going to the third. Obviously riding time advantage erased

141: Shie wins, 5-2. Was 2-0 at the start of the third. Meredith earned a takedown on what sounded like a scramble (no video for me) but Shie quickly escaped to 3-2 then finished a takedown with a second left to reach the margin.

Penn State 8, Army 3 as we move on to 149.
