I believe St Elmo’s is actually owned by a Penn Stater. You have to stop by for a drink and their legendary shrimp cocktail.

Read last night that there is a St Elmos Shrimp Cocktail eating contest on Sat

Free admission to the public from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET on Saturday, Dec. 7, Tailgate Town on South Street is the perfect “Gateway to Fan Fest.” Tailgate Town will feature a Major League Eating Contest where the top ranked eaters see who can eat the most World-Famous St. Elmo Shrimp Cocktail. Enjoy food and beverage sales, college football on the video screens, a live band and DJ, merchandise sales, sponsor giveaways, a 3-D B1G letters photo opportunity, a beer hall for relaxing, and more creating the ultimate tailgating experience. Entertainment will be provided by the St. Elmo Shrimp Cocktail Eating Contest, Timberworks Lumberjack Show, Alaina Renae Music, Karma Band, and DJ Lockstar.

Not being a d&#k, but for a place that’s so revered, so many people mispronounce the name. For the record, it is St Elmo Steakhouse, not St. Elmo’s.

If you can not get a reservation for St. Elmo Steakhouse, then next door is Harry & Izzy which has same ownership as SES. They have the famous Shrimp Cocktail appetizer.
