If I were the GM of the PPL, the person in charge of twitter and their boss and his/her boss would be fired! Totally unnecessary, and from a business standpoint irresponsible.

Lehigh should be thinking of other venues for events that may attract larger numbers than their on campus facilities can handle.
Am I the only one not knowing the fire able offense?

In PA you don't need a reason. Only exceptions are if the employee has a contract, discrimination, or some type of public policy. It's called "At-will employment", and you don't even have to state a reason.

My "hidden" reason would be that the person responsible for social media went out of their way to embarrass the client, which was Lehigh Wrestling.

You and I clearly have polar opposite definitions of embarrass. Were they supposed to post nothing and pretend that the event didn't happen?
They should have posted "A great night of wrestling at the PPL!" while showing a shot of the mat. You know, something positive that didn't take away from the event. See post #63 above, which is from Pat Mineo, for an example of how they could have handled it.

What are you talking about? The PPL center posted "Still thinking about the SOLD OUT Lehigh vs Penn State wrestling matches yesterday🔥" and three pictures. One showing the scoreboard before the start with no score shown. One showing Clutch with the Lehigh flag and the crowd. One showing the entire crowd and the mat. Just what did you find embarrassing to Lehigh?

You’re not missing anything, the atmosphere (except for all of the Penn Staters in the crowd) was very pro Lehigh. All in all it was a very good event and the PPL Center is a great venue. In addition, there are no other venues in the Valley. Much ado about nothing.
