I haven't noticed it this year but probably because I haven't watched is close enough, does PSU pull any of the offensive lineman? Do we run trap blocks? Do we pull on toss sweep type of plays? Watching the Eagles game last Sunday night and watching Lane Johnson pull and trap block got me thinking about PSU line play and not remembering if they did or not. Best is when Jason Kelce and an uncovered guard pull on a toss sweep. Get them Big Uglies on the move Coach Franklin!!!

just go to youtube, search any PSU game this year, and watch the lineman. They pull on almost every rushing play. It’s not hard to see.
They would be pulling if they checked out the weather thread
Yes they pull on an outside zone type of play. ( pin and pull). Most of their traps are by the TE
There are some very good OL coaches out there that advocate that none of the OL pull. Too much teaching involved

Yes, we do. Fairly regularly.
Earlier this year, in one of his desperate attempts to criticize Franklin for everything and anything, BW Lion started a thread stating that we don't pull, and successful teams pull. BW Lion was shown video evidence that he was clearly wrong. Then BW Lion tried to move the goal posts and say we didn't pull a certain way (between the tackles). Again he was shown video evidence that he was clearly wrong. Then BW Lion just moved on to some other unsupportable attack on Franklin, and later still tried to say we don't pull ... because he's BW Lion.

It isn't me, but I find the question interesting. As sluggo noted, they most noticeably pull on outside runs and as we all witnessed vs MSU there are numerous times they feebly attempt to run between the tackles straight up.....those usually don't work.

The only place I see an FTLPSU post is in the thread I linked to ... from early September. Are you trying to imagine that I edited something in the posts from September? What the freak?! Nope. I mostly listened to the games on the radio this season and was bored at work yesterday and watching the Eagles game on Sunday had me wondering if PSU ran any trap blocks, pulling on sweeps etc. I didn't recall the thread earlier this year, I probably started to read it and then it sounds like it hit the crapper like this one and I probably moved on to another thread. My apologies for starting a Spanish Inquisition. BTW, I did watch a bit of the MD game on youtube and noticed we are pulling on sweeps. My bad. Nothing to see here and carry on.
