He did it the whole game against USC and I was wondering the same thing.

Spread em out and run to the right. They don't have the speed to chase down Singleton. Play action to KLS should now open up. I don't think they can run with him either, but I feel better about a slant or post than anything deep with Clifford.

I think the rule only forbids more than 1 in motion an no forward motion

If you look closely at most plays, you'll find a situation similar to what happened there. It was a non-issue, IMHO.

they've been pretty good so far in the 2nd half. On that play, they sent a blitz, and didn't have a LBer spying or waiting to see if the QB broke past the pressure. You pick your poison. If you leave somebody back to watch the QB, then it's one less player in coverage or on the blitz.
