Questionable rule in Vikings game…

No timeouts left down 1. They throw to the 50 and spike the ball with a second left. But get flagged for illegal formation. Because they were set it’s a live ball foul and no run off. Wouldn’t this lead teams to just running their center and qb to the line to snap and not have to worry about anyone else as long as they are “set”?

Yeah I don't follow that one either. That scenario requires a time run off for it to be an actual penalty.
