Rattler has the highest completion % in the SEC at 83.3 with 55/66, other than Sellers at 100% with 4/4 and a few others at 2/2.
His overall QB rank is 8th nationally.

There's a long way to go against much stiffer competition, but consider last year he was 23/37 against Ga State and 17/23 against Charlotte. He appears to have taken a significant step forward.

See this often as QBs mature. Connor Shaw was a completely different QB his senior season than the previous 2 seasons. He was solid before, but his Senior year he was pretty dang elite. Spencer is way more talented as far as arm talent goes. When he has a clean pocket, there is a high change something good will happen. Right now it just feels like when he’s looking downfield and has time, we’re going to get a big play.

HIs numbers are gonna take a hit against UGA this week. Even though we can't win, I'd like to see Rattler shine and keep getting recognition.

I won’t say we can’t win tho.

It's about as close to it as you're gonna get at the P5 level. We were 21.5 dogs when we won in 2019. This year we are 27 point dogs. For comparison we were only 16.5 point favorites over Vandy.

If it were a night game at WB, I could almost be talked into believing it was within the realm of possibility.

Have to have a plan for all out pressure with something that makes them back it off and allow Rattler time to throw. Given time, he's making the throws needed to win. Let's hope the OL plays out of their minds this week.

Almost feel like Sellers should be runner up. Bet that's never happened before... one and two from the same team.

The 2019 UGA line opened at -25 UGA

South Carolina football’s 20-17 double overtime win over then-No. 3 Georgia on Saturday not only changed the buzz around both programs in one fell swoop — it also had a significant impact for sportsbooks.

When the line first opened this past week for the Gamecocks’ road contest, they were 25-point underdogs, the highest in the past 30 years of the UGA-USC rivalry. As game time approached though, the spread steadily fell, first to 23.5 points, then all the way to 21 points on Saturday morning. “Significant, line-moving money came in on the Gamecocks late and drove it down,” veteran gambling reporter David Purdum, of ESPN Chalk, told The State.

“It dropped pretty quickly on Saturday morning. All of a sudden I got a text or tweet from somebody asking, ‘What’s going on with the Georgia line?’ It went down from 25 to 21. William Hill, they have 100 sportsbooks in multiple states across the nation. They actually ended up with more money on South Carolina plus the points. I think it was like 62%. So there was belief in the Gamecocks and they delivered.”

Per ESPN Stats & Information, the upset was South Carolina’s first win as an underdog of 20-plus points in 40 years. That’s as far back as their data goes. According to OddsShark’s database, it was only USC’s third win when an underdog of two touchdowns or more after the past 20 years.

lol...sorry!

I'm not sure I see a distinction between can't and won't.

Look at it this way, if someone held a gun to your head and made you bet your house and car on who wins this game, who would you pick?

Nobody knows how good UGA is right now. I watched both of their games and they didn’t look unbeatable.

They have been sleepwalking, for sure. But based on how they've played their last 50 games (46-4) I have no doubts they'll be ready to go for this one.

The last two games is the team we will be facing this season. The other 48 games had Bennett and other great players that they don’t have this season. And not to mention that Todd isn’t their play caller anymore. Mike Bobo isn’t on Todd level as far as play calling goes and you can see the difference from before Todd and during Todd.

It's true. Beck has definitely looked just ok so far this year. I just fully expect to UGA to put it together for their SEC home opener.

I’m not saying you’re wrong at all because I know we can lose any game on our schedule but I’m more optimistic than anything. Beamer showed us the last two years not to count him or his team out.

It's college football. Anything can happen. We beat UT as 22 point dogs last year. That was a night game at home though. I'm mostly being adamant that we can't/won't win this one because I don't want to allow myself to start daydreaming that it's possible, only to be hit with a cold, hard dose of reality. When I was a teenager, I'd have told you we had this one in the bag. My youthful optimism has faded away however.

Lol I feel you and I was at that point until the UTjr game. It’s refreshing having an elite QB with elite playmakers around him.
