I reached no conclusions, something I've learned from years of experience. You play the way you practice
My question is, did you see a dominating OL ?
“You play the way you practice” is 100% correct. If we saw a lot of fooling around, laughter, giving a play 50-75%, then that’s the product we see this fall. We know the teams lack of success the past 2 seasons was due to laziness/bad work ethic on behalf of upper class man, lack of leadership, and bad execution. If it doesn’t get fixed, then we will have another 5-6 loss seasonYou play the way you practice

Ok, I guess Franklin is handing over his whistle to you? What is your plan to “fix” a fun day for the players??“You play the way you practice” is 100% correct. It's not 1950, and the days of practice being like boot camp are long gone“You play the way you practice” is 100% correct. yep, and I might score with Diane Lane- but I think Cliff has a better chance at being goodSo, you’re saying there is a chance that Clifford might really be good this year then.

It is strictly prohibited by the BWICAC.I don’t recall any of us saying they could have fun.
+1. Especially since some of the OL wasn't even there or didn't play. From spring PRACTICE???? Absolutely the dumbest thing. Especially if a group has a new coach (defense). Now, can you START to draw inferences from a full-on blue-white GAME? Maybe. SOME. but hanging your hat on anything in the spring is…… well it’s silly. Just enjoy a return to football and take everything with a grain of salt.
LOL.I will say this about yesterday’s event:
The winner of the Aric Heffelfinger Blue White Event Award:
Dominic DeLuca.
Yeah and when the going gets tuff the tuff get going...can't make the club in the tub....you can't polish mud.....can't make chicken salad from chicken ****....“You play the way you practice” is 100% correct. agree with that. we have not played actual football in the BW game since maybe the 1980's. There was real hitting in those days, and you could see what the team was looking like. Now it is a fun day and at best a glorified practice. The only thing I have found interesting in this game is the general health of the team. Do we see all the players and are guys coming off injuries looking like they are recovering. Sometimes you can see some athletic skill show up. We saw some nice athletic catches. You can see some speed on some guys. Again, cannot conclude much about the team.I reached no conclusions, something I've learned from years of experience.
Stick to running your choke and puke, Billy Bob.It is and everyone has said it that it is about the offensive line. We are in trouble. So if we just take off the blue and white glasses and not get to stoked we will be fine when reality hits in the fall. Another 4-6 loss season is coming. Too many ifs about the offensive line and this is a recurring recruiting miss by Franklin.we do not have the defense or special teams we had last year to help. If we lose 1-3 guys during the fall then cliff will be in trouble again. Good news is that vellieux should be ready to step in if they give him reps and learn from last several year’s mistake of not having a back qb ready.

I don't know if he was still doing it late in his career, but Joe gave many of the rising seniors spring off in the early 80's. I still remember Blackledge getting crushed on a play in the '82 BW game thanks, in part, to having some starters from the OL sitting in the stands watching. It wasn't long after that when they stopped letting the QBs get hit.agree with that. we have not played actual football in the BW game since maybe the 1980's. Can't hang with the owls at night and soar with the eagles come daylight... football doesn't build character, it eliminates the weak ones....winning isn't everything...its the only thing...we just don't have a coach who can take his-in and beat your-in...then take your-in and beat his-in. LOL
Tell the players it isn’t a fun day it’s a work day When they go 12-0 or 10-2 they can have some fun in the mean time it’s a work dayOk, I guess Franklin is handing over his whistle to you? What is your plan to “fix” a fun day for the players??
Keep your expectations low. PSU has devolved (for many reasons) into the kind of program that may make a run at a NY6 bowl every 4-5 years, and if things REALLY go right and they get some luck (see Michigan last year) maybe a playoff run. But I’m general, it’s going to be a lot of 8-4, Outback Bowl type seasons with losses to OSU and Michigan.
Sum b*tch!Self portrait of you?

That's exactly the type of program we have always been. Where was this Alabama-under-Saban like run that you think we used to have?
Is it fair for fans to expect a record in line with our coach’s salary? I’m fine with lowered expectations, but we shouldn’t be paying a top ten salary for four to five loss seasons and one B1G Championship Game appearance per decade.
The reality is that our last true national championship level team was 1994. We are not, and never have been, Alabama.Yes.
The problem has been 4 to 6 teams have dominated the playoff Era. Top 10 pay doesn't buy wins vs the win at all costs group.
Michigan broke through with a win over the Buckeyes and the conference title. The playoff berth was a total demolition. I don't feel confident that they can repeat last years success any sooner than another decade.
Mediocrity sucks though. '16-'19 feels like 10 years ago.
Disagree. In 2017, 2018 we had a least a playoff caliber team. But you have to close out those games, which we did not, mostly due to poor blocking schemesThe reality is that our last true national championship level team was 1994. We are not, and never have been, Alabama.
