The key will be retain certain players from transferring out. And I’ve been keeping notes of players to poach from other teams for next season. I hope someone on the staff has worked it at.

I think Anderson has his Covid year available. I think we just got beat by the portal. We lost way more than we brought in. Juice’s injury doesn’t help, but I’m actually surprised with how well the offense looks despite his absence.

The biggest concern is Beamer keeping this team together. It’s a very young team so hopefully that helps. But between the terrible 2021 recruiting class and losing the veteran players from the Muschamp era, we are just young. I do think overall defensive coaching needs to improve. Oh and Special Teams cost us tonight too.

Good post! Usually first coaching staffs don’t pan out. He seems to have massively upgraded the OC when we all thought he was insane for hiring Logg. Now he’s got to get the DC figured out. We’ve got some players there, so I don’t think it’s some big overhaul. Just need someone who knows what the hell they’re doing.

We are undermanned to a few positions, notably WR and defense. If Juice can come back that helps. We are still a year or 2 of recruiting cycles away from being a 7 win team or better. A new head coach only makes that timeline worse. Honestly, who do you see coming here at this point to make things better? Give the man some time or keep your head buried in the sand. With our budget constraints, this is we’re we are at.

Dabo got Venables and Clemson elevated their game. We desperately need someone to rebuild our defense.
