Bumphis and Thames are both in Oxford as we speak...for whatever it's worth.</p>
Ole Miss this weekend. MSU last weekend. LSU this week with Chris Garrett. These guys are doing like they should and looking at all of their options. It's a long, long time until February.

Croom gonna pull there offer fo shur.

I know you're giving Diamond a hard time, as you should for bringing that kind of crap here. However, there is definitely some basis in his original point. Croom has always been pretty ticky about his commitments visiting elsewhere. I don't know that he tells them he's going to pull their offer (probably doesn't say that), but he's been on record before saying that if his commits take visits, he's going to keep recruiting their spot as if they aren't committed.

I don't blame him for saying that or doing that (he should), but he definitely gives off the vibe to players that he doesn't want them looking around. I don't think that it's because he's scared of anyone's facilities necessarily, but I'm guessing he does make it known to the players that their commitment isn't necessarily final with him unless they don't take anymore visits.

As far as Nutt is concerned, I think he's definitely taking a slower approach to recruiting at this point, and he's falling behind. It doesn't mean he can't catch up, but he's definitely waiting to put on the full court press. All that said, I do find it funny that Croom is already evaluating for 2010. I seem to remember that when I mentioned on here that early evaluation like that is why Orgeron was able to offer players so early, many on here said he was just blanket offering because it wasn't possible for him to evaluate all those players before the previous signing class was complete. Now, your own coach is doing the same thing Orgeron did as far as evaluations, so apparently it is possible to evaluate and offer players that early.

in thinking Croom's statements about officials applies to camps as well. A lot of these things are team oriented and the quickest way to piss off HS coaches would be to tell their players they can't go to a camp.

I think that would make its way into a recruiting article if Croom actually said that.

Croom doesn't care about commits going to camps. Croom has told his commits that if they take official visits to another school, then that means they are looking so he is still looking. I agree with Croom on this. It's a good way to keep from getting screwed come signing day. I know Orgeron lost a couple to Croom this way. Williams and Elliot.
