That Auburn game stands out like a sore thumb this season. It was the one game we had where EVERYTHING went wrong. We shot 34.6% from the field (20% from 3) while Auburn absolutely scorched the nets at 61% from the field (60% from 3 with 12 total makes). They hit 90% from FT had 10 steals and 22 assists. We had 13 turnovers and only 5 assists. Only reason the game wasn't even more of a blowout is that we were fairly equal in fouls (18 vs 19) and we hit 22 FT. It would have been a nearly a tie game if you only counted Auburn's 3 pointers and FTs.
All that to say, it was a total train wreck and not indicative of our overall season performance. It was just one of those nights where absolutely nothing worked on either of the floor. Of course, it was also at Auburn.
Knock on wood, but I don't expect that kind of performance again. Gonna be an extremely tough game, but I think/hope/expect we should perform better. As long as they aren't in our heads.
