Do people make serious money off of these? One they get a check and become a ‘digital creator’ or whatever.

And secondly, I see a lot of FB/IG accounts that basically steal other people reels and post them as their own. Any regulation there? Do folks have to fight to keep that at bay?

The irony of goat posting about attention “horing”
That’s the point. Need to make some money

But in reality I’m just curious about how people steal the videos and post them as their own. You never can tell if it’s the actual people or some fake account.

Yeah, the video stealing is super annoying because so many of the 'stolen' videos have one of those AI voices narrating, the narration is often inaccurate, and the video title is also often misleading.

...but almost all short form video is total trash and wouldnt be missed if it didnt exist, so its kinda tough for me to care too much about all of it.

I know a Desoto county guy that does social media content. He is a State guy too.

Grassketball. Look for him on most social media. Tik tok and Facebook... Give him a click.

Is this just a facebook/IG thing? Youtube seems much more secure.
YouTube is probably the most extreme. They’ll take down the actual content creators stuff sometimes. They are also notorious for demonetizing people’s videos if there’s some sort of content within them that they don’t like.
