I thought the officials were excellent in tonight's NCAA men's final. Pretty good flow to the game and they kept foul calls to a minimum. I don't think they had to go to the scorer's table once......granted the game was not that close. The coaches weren't constantly berating them and arguing about calls. Looks like the NCAA appointed them based on merit and not some other agenda. Worked out pretty well I would say....

I watched a little over half of the first half. They seemed to be pretty much ‘letting them play’. It was nice to not have play stopped every single possession for a foul call, but mercy, it was a physical game, what I saw of it.

As I’ve said, call the game of basketball, not the game of fouls. It’s not terribly difficult to do so.

There was a clear difference in how Friday nights game was called versus Sunday. Friday nights game had fouls called for barley if at all touching someone. Sunday there were bloody noses and no fouls called. Even on the reply that Mulky asked for clearly showed a foul that was not called, but they could not call it on replay since it was a flagrant foul. Even the announcers agreed. If Sunday's game was called like Friday's, I don't know if LSU wins. They would not have been able to play their game like we couldn't...
