I know this regional would have been put on by them whether the SEC has a tie or not but reading the posts below got me to thinking why the hell we have CSS as an affiliation with the conference when truth be told, only around half of the audience in the Southeast can get it? I dare say half of this area are Direct TV customers and they can hang up any hopes of getting CSS because Comcast uses it as a selling tool. What also sucks is my cable company (Cable One) can't or won't get CSS either. I just don't understand why a conference with such $$$$ tied into tv contracts would be contracted with such a bush league channel that many people in their viewing audience can't get to begin with.

And it gives espn an extra outlet to show football games-- primarily the dud games. There are only so many channels. As for other sports, my guess is the games they show wouldn't be on tv otherwise.
