We obviously are a stagnant program at best. Dont blame Shane Beamer. He got offered a job he was not qualified for, a salary that was far above his resume’. Just like any of us would do he accepted and is trying his best, I dont doubt that.

RAY TANNER made the hire. Ray Tanner passed on the once in a generation opportunity to land a young rising star HC who climbed the D2, FCS, G5 ranks right in our state, winning rings ar every step, and watched him take Liberty to the Fiesta Bowl in year 1 and get them fitted for conference championship rings (his staff now has champ rings from 4 different conferences).

Instead Ray hired an old buddy. He listened to wealthy boosters who dont understand football, because Ray doesnt understand football

I like Beamer, hes a genuinely good person and I dont doubt for a second he puts in long hours and badly wants to win here. But we all see the situation for what it is. I would fail at a job I wasn’t qualified for also.

Shout out to all the former players that encouraged the hire. Cant forget their contributions this Island of Misfit Toys. That goes for Tanner and Beamer

A faction on the Board of Trustees was convinced by former players that Beamer could get the job done. I wonder if they feel an ounce of guilt?

I suspect that after Muschamp was justifiably fired, that Beamer contacted numerous former USC players to support him being hired. So, yes, I blame Shane as well.

By the way, I agree we let a good one (Chadwell) get away.

I hope someone is compiling a short list of people to replace Beamer. That short list should include only proven winners as Head Coaches, with an offensive background.. THAT will not guarantee success. BUT, it does improve the odds.

Beamer is responsible for his performance and team. Tanner is responsible for the hire. After attending the game and our horrible performance I was not even upset because I no longer have any optimism about our team. Apathy has set in.

I’ve never seen a players coach succeed.

I was banned four calling Tanner a hillbilly.

Welp, have at it.

Beamer was gone when we had our best years. Of course he recruited a lot of those guys. The loudest supporters of Beamer, from his former players, just seem to want to keep their own names relevant.

What irks me most is the choice we had. If there wasnt really a better option, sure, roll the dice on Beamer and hope we strike gold.

But my goodness, the other guy was so obviously the right choice, for in state recruiting, coordinator and HC experience, proven as a winner, AND financially bc he woulda been cheaper than Beamer

I think Chadwell wanted to bring his entire staff with him like Sparky Woods. I don't know enough about Chadwell's staff but Sparky's definitely wasn't ready for the big leagues. Chadwell's staff might have been because they continue to win.

The day that Tanner jumped his lazy butt on an airplane to go interview Muschamp for the head coaching gig, is when it was clear to me that Tanner and the BOT don’t have the ability or desire to build a winning football program. As long as fans butts are parked in the bleachers is all that matters.

Thats why that staff wins everywhere they go though. Its a machine with the same parts year after year, no new personalities or schemes to adapt to. Tanner made a colossal mistake

Don't blame Beamer, Tanner, nor Loggains for yesterday's offensive ineptitude. Instead, let's blame Marcus Satterfield for all this mess. Oh, wait a minute, Satterfield is no longer on the coaching staff anymore! Loggains must be placed on the hot seat at once!!!
