We get that you don’t see the forest for the trees due to blind loyalty. You’re the only one in here and in the media that doesn’t consider Clemson a national brand.

As I said there were 4 sources, you locked into 1, and of course you dismissed it because it does not fit your narrativeWe’ll, if 1,000 high school kids think Clem is a top 5 brand then I guess that settles it!!
I would expect a Harvard man to actually read what he’s supporting. Yes, there were 4 links. 3 of them referenced the same “study” done by interviewing 1,000 high school kids. The other was a dude that actually put some work in. He found that from 2015-2019 Clem was 12. We were 21. During that time frame Clem won 2 NCs, a runner up, and another appreance in the cfp. I’d say 12 is a little underwhelming for a big national brand with that level of success. As I said there were 4 sources, you locked into 1, and of course you dismissed it because it does not fit your narrative
We get it, you don't think Clemson is a national brand, or certainly do not want to admit to itI would expect a Harvard man to actually read what he’s supporting. No, I don’t. What I don’t get is why that offends so many USC fans?We get it, you don't think Clemson is a national brand, or certainly do not want to admit to it

I don’t include you in that group. It’s my honest opinion. They’re a great program…much better than us right now. I just don’t think they have a national following…not a national big brand. No garnet glasses.I don't think anyone is offended. I think you're getting pushback from the crowd that's looking at this without the garnet glasses.
It's okay to look at it with the garnet glasses, we should just acknowledge that.
What is your criteria for a national brand exactly?I don’t include you in that group. It’s my honest opinion. They’re a great program…much better than us right now. I just don’t think they have a national following…not a national big brand. No garnet glasses.
I would guess something along the lines of the Blue Blood programs….Texas, Notre Dame, Meatchigan, Ohio State, Bama, LSU, Penn State, So Cal, Oklahoma, Nebraska, etc. What is your criteria for a national brand exactly?
Correct. You could go beyond football too. I’d argue the UNC brand overall is stronger than Clem.I would guess something along the lines of the Blue Blood programs….Texas, Notre Dame, Meatchigan, Ohio State, Bama, LSU, Penn State, So Cal, Oklahoma, Nebraska, etc.
I would agree. But they depend on basketball for their cachet, and that needs to get some better and more consistent footing. I sense that their coaching isn't what it used to be.Correct. You could go beyond football too. I’d argue the UNC brand overall is stronger than Clem.
Hard to nail down a specific metric. When I listen to national shows, they talk about that group a lot more than they talk about Clemson. Why? B/c they have a national audience they have to cater to. It's the same reason the Finebaum show is essentially a 60 minute infomercial for Bama. They talk about what their audience wants to hear. And they know it's working b/c of their ratings. If TOSU was in jeopardy of missing their 3rd straight CFP it would be dominating the airwaves. But that's where clemson is, and it's a story, but nobody outside of the ACC and the SE really cares.I didn’t ask who was I said what is the criteria that makes them a national brand?
we will just have to agree to disagree. You become a national brand by stringing together championship runs and that’s a fact. You don’t become popular by losing. Clemson has done that so complain all you want and try to deny it but the truth of the matter is that in 2023 most college football fans know exactly who Clemson is. I see it when I travel. I see Clemson paws in all the big cities I go to.Hard to nail down a specific metric. When I listen to national shows, they talk about that group a lot more than they talk about Clemson. Why? Having said that, I think the guy in the aforementioned link was on the right path with a combination of attendance, TV viewership, and social media mentions. He should add in apparel sales though. To me, that's a larger indication than attendance. Doing a quick google search it was hard to find something recent. Found a handful of links from the 2010s. Even though during that time frame UT was terrible, they were consistently #1 in merch sales. That's a strong national brand.
We all have our opinions, and they're all 100% correct! Go cocks!we will just have to agree to disagree. You become a national brand by stringing together championship runs and that’s a fact. You are correct and like I keep saying the B1G wants UNC and UVA not FSU and CU. It is more than just football.Correct. You could go beyond football too. I’d argue the UNC brand overall is stronger than Clem.
Well, they are at least committed to the ACC through 2024.I guess it depends on where you've been getting your info. I've only been relying on established sports media guys that reference sources when they speak on it. Nothing has changed in regards to that info. If you're only getting info from guys like this, giving their uninformed opinion, then I can see how you would think that. But in reality, nothing has changed in the last 10 days.
PF has always said they're an SEC school in the ACC, while also saying they wouldn't bring anything financially to the SEC.A lot of chatter today on Clemons’s rival site. One of their reporters is convinced that this vote is going to make dominos fall. Basically saying that FSU, CU and others are out before football season is over. Stats this thing will not wait till the off season. Throw in that Finebaum has done an about face on both those schools lately, I don’t have a fuzzy feeling about them staying in acc. Finbaum said on first take they are sec schools in the acc basically.
