I really don't have strong feelings any way for any of Lubrano, Jay, or Short on a personal level. I don't know any of them, and whatever very brief interactions with them have been positive for the most part. I appreciate the passion Lubrano has for JVP's recognition, and support most of those efforts. I do find it interesting that Brandon Short, who ran his BOT campaign trumpeting JVP's name loud and clear most of the way, is now critical of others for using JVP's name in their BOT roles.Brandon Short and Tony Lubrano probably aren't going to exchange Christmas cards this year. That was a strange, rehearsed, stage act from AL and Jay P. I understand why they did it, though. PSU should recognize Joe and Sue and officially acknowledge their contributions, one time and for all time.
With tuition costs through the roof, Neeli should turn down the raise or take it and donate it back to PSU. That would show character and be a good thing to do.
$250 k is pretty nice . Definitely deserves an atta-girl !She did just make a donation in that ballpark.
Wow! You're a regular Thomas Jefferson.
As are all donations of that sort. I suppose people ought to forego making charitable contributions because they receive a tax deduction.Donation was tax incented, make no bones about it. She’s done nothing in the two yrs she has been here but reveal the financial issues at the university which, apparently, the BOT knew nothing of which shows you the lousy leadership in place. But she gets it. Ruffled a lot of feathers in HBG which is not good. A woke hire!

for the Bendepudi
Sacrifice, like taxes, is for the little peopleWith tuition costs through the roof, Neeli should turn down the raise or take it and donate it back to PSU. That would show character and be a good thing to do.
The cabal has outfoxed the rebels pretty consistently for over a decade. The rebels can't even get on the same page, which is why I left their ranksAll that with the recent (apparent) stunt from leak to meeting set aside, which I have not yet read much on to try to understand the explanations of the reasons from Jay or anyone else. How they did not foresee the horrible optics of such a thing, given the mess of the optics we've seen since 2011, is beyond me.
Ah yes. Just blame “woke”. It’s the blanket excuse for not coming up with a reasonable solution or alternative.Donation was tax incented, make no bones about it. There is an alternative. They can make the donation and forego the deduction. As are all donations of that sort. I suppose people ought to forego making charitable contributions because they receive a tax deduction.

According to the readout from the Board Secretary - the two not in attendance:@PSUFTG2 Could you post who were the four members that did not attend?
Wha'cha smoking today, Fair? There is an alternative. They can make the donation and forego the deduction.
According to the readout from the Board Secretary - the two not in attendance:
Naren Gursahaney, B&I (it is my understanding Naren had a scheduling conflict - that, as I understand it, was reasonable)
and one of the Cabinet Secretaries - Russell Redding, Sect of Agric.
A few more were not in attendance "Live", but may have zoomed in.
36 voting membersThank you, but I thought that there were 38 members.
Thank you for the clarification. I thought that there was 38 voting plus the Pres & Gov.36 voting members
There are 2 non-voting: The PSU President (who was there via Zoom), and the Governor (who has never been there)
The Governor also can appoint (and has appointed) a non-voting representative who can attend (but not vote) he was there.
