Good new for us, obviously. It is reported that Clemson's recent signing of Klubnik likely factored heavily in his decision. Though that would also seem to knock out UGA and Texas, since they both brought in high profile QBs as well, so probably more to it.

Only part that is worrisome is if he marked off Clemson because of Klubnik, is Klubnik going to give them another stud freshmen QB that is actually a stud.

Klubnik is good. I have seen several high school games. Texas would have loved him, but he grew up a Texas Aggie. Somehow A&M fell in love with Conner Weigman, the top rated Rivals Dual Threat QB, No. 36 in the nation. So both those guys won't go there to A&M and Weigman committed first. Klubnik is the top Pro Style QB and no 3 in the nation by Rivals. So with Texas hated and A&M out, Klubnik decided to go to the most Aggie like East Coast team.

I will never believe he had any intention of going outside of the SEC.
Manning told Texas that he was considering them because he could play most of his college career in the SEC and would not have considered Texas if it were long-term Big 12. Plus their staff is full of recent ex-Alabama coaches.
