Will actually go for Michigan in that semifinal, Seminoles got screwed. 13-0 in a power 5 conference is 13-0, so what if their qb got injured. As has been said on here before Win anyway! The Texas loss should've eliminated Alabama. If you want who the best 4 looking teams are just trot them out on the runway and have a fashion show! If I'm Florida St. I give serious consideration to declining any bowl invite(I at least ask the players what they want to do).

There is only 2 other teams I wish this could happen to. Clemson and Notre dame.

FSU’s gauntlet of a schedule included LSU and Duke. That’s basically it.

You play the schedule you're dealt(these things are set up years in advance) perhaps you'll learn to comprehend that in the future, we'll see.

That was an insipid and almost incomprehensible response. Schedule matters; it's one of the recognized matrices. Strength of personnel matters. What a team is at the time of selection matters. A few less card-carriers won't matter.

The CFP is an ESPN reality show based on college football, nothing more. The committee is there to put together the four contestants who will draw the largest audience.

This is the problem...there's only 4 spots available. Did Florida State deserve to make the playoff? Yes, absolutely. They were a 13-0 Power 5 conference champion with wins over solid opponents like LSU and Clemson. Did they deserve to get in over Alabama or Texas, despite both of those teams having a loss? No. Definitely not.

FSU just got really unlucky that this year; finally, every Power 5 conference champion was playoff-worthy. Someone was going to draw the short straw and get screwed.

Exactly. It's like people just don't listen when the CFP talks. The only thing I would say is that they knew good and damn well they were not going to put FSU in over a 1 loss TX/Bama. They should have dropped them the week after Travis got hurt. To take it a step further, they should only have the final rankings. It makes zero sense for the #1 team in the country to lose a 3 pt neutral field game to #7 and drop 6 spots. Of course, that would eliminate the intrigue.

Get rid of the weekly show. It's absurd and doesn't matter. Have one final show with the full, complete season.

I feel my opinion is pretty valid here……as a Gamecock fan, I truly feel, that I don’t care about Bama or FSU or Ohio State or Kirk’s opinion. I hope they are all sad Or pi$$ed or whatever.

But they have said from the start the goal is to have the four best teams, not the four most deserving.

If you go by the criteria they have, they made the right call. You might disagree with the criteria, but that is a different debate.

Florida State total yards against power five teams without Jordan Travis.

Florida 224 yards
Louisville 219 yards

Kentucky scored 38 points against Louisville and 33 points against Florida.

Florida State would have the same chance to win in the college playoffs like Cincinnati did a few years ago which is none.

So does strength of record and FSU’s was 3rd. I would bet my house that if the roll was reversed bama would not have been left out.
