Yeah, that will go over really well. Be the school that starts that trend and see how well it works. LOL

So what do you do when it gets to I’ll play against Deleware, UMass, Northwestern and Rutgers because “I need some film” but going to opt out against the others because I might get hurt?

Oh come on, if covid wackiness doesn't happen do you really think sitting out wouldn't have hurt him? The Steelers were openly stating they were taking guys off their draft board if they didn't play.
I just stated a fact. Do I think Paraons would have been drafted where he was if it was a non-COVID season? Yeah, probably. He’s that talented and ultimately, NFL drafts athletic ability.
The whole debate is interesting to me. Personally, I would play a bowl game. I believe in making a commitment and carrying it all the way through. The idea it being a meaningless game could then be put on any game after you’ve lost your second game of the season for every team and unless you’re Alabama, Ohio State, or Clemson (or possibly a few other teams) same could be said after your first loss of the season. So, I don’t kill kids for sitting the bowl games out but I do question why it doesn’t happen earlier in the season once they have enough action on film. Also, if the idea is to not risk injury I would have respect for a playoff bound player who chooses sit out to protect their professional future.

That isn't occurring yet and you aren't going to get that money back. Let's stop acting like the schools don't BEG these kids to come to their school. You still think this is done out of the kindness of the schools heart? It's a business first and any school that tells kids to kick back 60k for missing a game will basically say we're now irrelevant in college football....buy hey we made a statement. I know you think this sounds good, but this isn't happening. It would be the downfall of your recruiting as every other school would say look what they are doing at PSU...if you opt out for your future they stick it to you.

Make "opt out" an option when the player enrolls. If they elect the ability to "opt out" at any time, they're ineligible for scholarship and NIL money.
You might not like the consequences of opening those doors.

Poof!!! You’ve magically been given Son 3 and we’ve miraculously beat M and OSU. What’s your answer?

I’m guessing no answer because it will show hypocrisy 😁
