The BigTen Network could have quickly produced a show involving highlight clips from DH’s high school, recruitment, time at OSU and in the pros (without infringing on NFL copyrights).

Instead, they take the opportunity to do elsewise.

The kid died. There’s no harm in that broadcast. Athletes are famous and get more notoriety. That’s life.

I just saw that ex-Cowboy's exec Gil Brandt's response to this tragedy was, "Maybe if he stayed in school he wouldn't have gone jogging on a highway." This might be the all-time most despicable, insensitive, loathsome, moronic, vile response to a tragedy in my memory. For some unknown reason Brandt is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He should be expelled from the HOF.

Well, I guess it's good to hear the circumstances were what I, and probably many others, thought. Running out of gas and making a poor judgment to walk off the freeway. Very unfortunate and sad, but better than someone with a deathwish or high on drugs.

I've driven that very stretch of roadway many times and it's one of the most intense, wide, and dangerous areas in which I've ever been.

RIP dude. There's at least a 5% chance you could have been the chosen one. That chance is now zero.

I had been considering the possibility that he’d been out all night drinking.

I try to respect the dead so I won’t discuss exactly what I think of the circumstances of his passing.

I was hoping that there would be a report that they found his car a few hundred yards up the road, and out of gas.

That never entered my mind. I mean, who does this? Probably someone who is late for a flight and is one mile from the airport.

Very desperate I think - someone mentioned all the moving parts here. My guess is driver was impaired and Dwayne was still on a roadway. Maybe get something from him since his company wasn’t named.
