both are decent teams. san diego has some bad losses, but they're pretty good at home. beat oklahoma, stanford, and houston. then ole miss.

how do y'all think we do? and, seriously, none of that "we SHOULD win all 3" crap. there are enough stansbury sux threads as is. if you think stansbury sucks bad enough, predict us to lose however many you want and let that be that.

if i had a gun to my head i'd probably go with 2-1, but as i don't i'm going to say 3-0 with good rebounding from kodi, phil, varnado against ole miss. that game will be hard as hell to win, but maybe we can exploit the rebounding factor

1st i think we have the hilltoppers between San Diego and UM.

if we can lose 2 rider and richmond at home and neutral then we can lose to either of these 2 on the road.....easy.

i'll say either 1-2 or 3-0.....no in between.

Just curious, with our game a little over a week away, what have been your weaknesses so far? I haven't seen you play yet, so I don't know. What's the general scouting report?

Obviously with us, you have us pegged with the rebounding, especially defensive rebounding. That, and our help defense has at times been shaky. We'll see if we can get those corrected, but those are definitely the things to beat us on.

Also, I don't like our offensive match up with you, because we like to use our athleticism to create by getting into the lane, and Varnado can take a lot of that away. It's amazing what an elite shot blocker can do for your team. I still like our chances at home, but it'll definitely be a good test for us to kick off SEC play, and considering I think the West is going to be definitely decided in Mississippi this year, it's big for us to try to hold serve in the home and home.

1) Does Varnado get into foul trouble. (Refs could let him play or call every questionable foul)
2) Does the 3 ball fall for us. (I don't see us shooting very well in the Tad Pad, since we're not use to playing in the dark)

We have a tendency to slow things down, get in a rut, and start missing shots. When we are moving around, ravern is getting his opportunities, and recently, Barry has been getting more open 3's. But I think one thing that is a surprising weakness is the lack of offensive production from Dee Bost. He hasn't been hitting his 3's, and he really isn't finishing when he drives to the basket, if he drives it at all. I think out of the starting 5, he has the biggest tendency to slow things down too much.

he's bound to get his offensive game going at some point. If/when he does, we will be much tougher to defend. I think we just keep getting better as the year goes on and we end up being a top 15 team like we all thought.

We win at Whale's ****** and Western Kentucky, but lose at the Sad Pad. I think the teams are close enough that we split the series with Mississippi.
