Good story, Rick. I know a lot of people still don’t care for coach Polk because of how he handled the Cohen situation. In my opinion, coach Polk is a great ambassador for Mississippi State and I’m glad he’s getting this statue.

I was critical, in print, of Polk for the way he handled Cohen and Greg Byrne at the time. It wasn't a good look. But when you look at his overall body of work, it is truly stunning. I don't know if I have ever known anyone who was as passionate about his sport and his job as #1.
