What the 17 does last year have to do with anything, dubmassQuestion is... they dont want to move Pico up a day.. but they will with Ligon.
Honestly looks like a situation where we are playing to get 1 and not lose all 3.... but not saying thats the worst strategy in the world either.
And siary has had his chance. He pitched 15 innings in conference last year including 3 starts.. his ERA was north of 9 and never made it past the 4th inning.... its actually more stupid we dont have anyone better as an option... siary will go 5-6 innings at ABSOLUTE best.. more likely 3 or 4. All the arms we have, the fact we dont have a 3rd option that can actually give us a start is a head shaker....... that said surprised we arent starting Stone Simmons.. so I guess thats a step the right direction
Well would prefer Ligon stay on Sunday and pitch all by himself in an empty stadium? Parker simply wanted to keep Pico on his routine and is afforded that luxury because you’re replacing Davis in the rotation with Siary who hasn’t been on a schedule so he can easily go tonight.Question is... they dont want to move Pico up a day.. but they will with Ligon.

Oh ok.... so someone who has been here multiple years, never had any success against the SEC 31 innings 29 runs.... never pitched more than 4 innings...What the 17 does last year have to do with anything, dubmass
nah i mean i get it... point was they chose to keep pico and move ligon up instead of moving both up. Also wouldnt be a shocker to see Ligon move to the Saturday spot while we play musical chairs on Sunday.Well would prefer Ligon stay on Sunday and pitch all by himself in an empty stadium? we should be pissed he hasnt gotten an opportunity to go pitch yet?
If we dont have a better option to start than someone on year 3.. whose never been a fixture in the rotation and has given up 29 runs in 31 SEC innings... then so be it.
Hes gotten the opportunity and he's sucked at it.

true and again.. pico friday, ligon saturday... is what i expect moving forward while we attempt to find the 3rd guy.Answer is... there is no option were Ligon doesn't move up. They certainly weren't going to move him up 2 days, so he was going to be the Saturday guy regardless of the other decisions.
Desperate times call for desperate measures. I don't know that it really matters much who starts besides Pico. Siarry looked really good against Oklahoma so I'm fine with giving him a start. But he's never really pitched more than a couple of good innings at a time for us, so it'll be pitching by committee tonight. Need to get a lot of innings (and few runs) from Pico, but he's probably going to have to go 6-7 innings whether he's doing good or not anyway. And this gets him out of going against their #1 starter (unless they flip the rotation too).Smells like desperation
