So if they're in complete don't give a damn mode and we win... does that cheapen the Dub?

Maybe but I'll take it..... kinda like a divorcee with three kids out at the bar one day post final. 😂

If true, I wonder how much the James Franklin firing has to do with this. Think about it.

I don’t see Kiffen going to Gainesville except for stupid stupid money. He knows there is dysfunction in the water down there.

When you haven't had one in this long, even a cheap one is worth its weight in gold. That divorcee will be so hard up and wanting revenge she'll do things to you she always swore she'd never do.

One thing’s certain: Marcus Freeman is going to be a wealthy man in a couple of months. My gut says he stays put, but a bidding war with ND, PSU and I guess Florida means a good time for his agent. Wonder when Auburn is going to join the party?

Kiffin too, of course, but he’s already making plenty.

He also knows 2 coaches have won multiple national championships there since 1990. I think the very few places he would leave Oxford for. But Florida might be one of them.

What a kick in the nuts to the Colonel, if OM makes the playoffs and Lane bails prior.
Time for a pine box statement from the Sip. I bring up the Sip as I have some OM friends who are in their 70’s wearing hats and hoodies with it proudly displayed on the garment. If they’re trying to make me puke they are doing a good job.

I have no expectation that Kiffin would leave for Florida, but the distraction for his team and any angst it causes their fan base is welcomed.
I think Kiffin would leave for Florida in a heart beat if they were willing to pay him and commit to a good NIL budget. UM's best chance for keeping Kiffin is that I don't know that paying so much for coaches makes that much sense anymore when you can put that budget towards players instead.

The list is short though and there aren't many coaching changes at those types of schools. I think UGA, UT, A&M, UF, and Bama in the SEC. Don't know how he feels about the Big 10 but I would assume OSU. Maybe Oregon because of booster money? Don't know how Michigan or PSU would be viewed. In the ACC probably FSU is the only one? Miami maybe just because of location if they had some boosters step up big.

But as long as NIL and transfers are changing the landscape, there are some blue bloods that I don't know if they have the same pull as before. OU being a prime example. I know they're doing fine now, I just don't know that they will ever be what they were. , Hell, even Bama might be a no go right now, as they are going to have to reset expectations now that they aren't just competing with under the table payments.

I think some of you might be putting a little too much faith in the word of a college football coach, his kids, and your rebel friends.

Lane knows after last year that he will never win a championship in Oxford. He will eventually want to get somewhere he can. I don't know if that is Florida this year, but it certainly could be.

The dude was set to go to Auburn two years ago.

It's actually more likely to happen this weekend than not, regardless of rumors. He has been on the hot seat every year. This year is already a failed season so we know he is getting fired after this season. If you are going to do it during the season, the best time is prior to the bye to give interim time to game plan. Several schools have already fired their coach, so the pressure is on to get ahead of the process.

With no other sources and only the info stated here, I would say it's an 80% chance he will be fired by next Monday. Add in the misc. sources saying it is going to happen, puts it closer to 100%.

Im not going to say he isn't leaving Oxford, but someone is going to have to pay him $15M /year to get him to leave....two years ago, all he had was a daughter who was a freshman at UM...now his whole family is here....my kids run in the same circles as his kids, and IMO, he isn't leaving oxford any time soon.

And I believe Napier is done whether MSU wins, or UF wins....wouldnt be surprised if Franklin ended up at UF

Yep. His daughter got him for a year but who sticks around somewhere for their college aged kid? And Knox was visiting LSU last weekend while nobody showed up in Oxford for Wazzu.
