this is very unusual to have an OC fired in season, and how we move on from that with one week to prepare. Rutgers DEF is pretty solid and have pushed everyone. I know they have some injuries, but they have the DEF to make this a game against what our OFF has been to date.

it would seem impossible that our OFF could be WORSE after the firing, but if so, this could be another Indiana situation. One of our DEF weaknesses is defending the RUN on 3rd and long.....or when it is obvious passing down. Rutgers has running QB - scored on long run vs UMich.

How many points do you see this OFF scoring given the sudden change? it would be great if we did not have to play a game this week but alas we do.

I’m a contrarian. I would actually start Pribula because that is that last thing Rutgres is expecting.

After PSU goes up 21-3, it will be time for Drew to demonstrate that he has pocket presence, albeit a leaky pocket.

Trautwein needs to extract his cranium from his rectum. He has incredible talent along the OL but doesn’t seems to be able to coach them to being mean and dominating.

I’m not Franklin, but I wouldn’t hesitate to send Traut downstream.

The OP asked how I feel / felt about this game.

I believe Franklin will coach a perfect game and we can rejoice and look forward to 8 more years.

Except I'm in no position to judge coaching, good or bad, so nevermind.

At this point we are what we are. I doubt if things will change much for this game. Look for another good defensive performance and a middling offensive showing with a steady if unimpressive offensive performance that still manages to put up 38 points. Look for the familiar short passes and 4 yard runs up the middle to eat up the clock. 38-14 final score. We win ugly again.

Head coaches are being fired in season. Happens all the time. It's not like the team needed to be introduced to Seider, O,'Brien etc. I doubt it moves the needle one way or the other.

We were, you’re looking at it the wrong way. We traded a loss for an OC, a weeks worth of spirited conversations, nasty personal insults and of course endless conspiracy theories. All in all not bad. I’m dying to see who gets whacked this weekend.
That's the spirit! That moron Franklin will surely give us lots to live for next week!

I don’t like ‘bet’ ‘mid’ or ‘fire’ - all dumb phrases used by ghey Michigan QBs or dumb kids.

plus, Rutgres will make it a game early then PSU anger will lead to 45 straight points. That’s my take on the game.
Don’t forget “cap”, another dumb one.

I'm looking forward to it. How the team performs will indicate leadership and character on the team. It may also help shed some light on the role Mike Yurcich played.

I agree with most all you write here. Including your conclusion that we win by 24, yet it will be ugly. That is the story of this season...what would seem to be impressive wins (score-wise) yet are missing something.

Largely agree, but I can't see the offense alone putting up 38. I think this would take two defensive scores.

DGAS, but I will watch anyway. Waiting to see what elite coaching decisions are made by Fraud-klin during the game.
