Recessions don't much affect the very wealthy other than a net worth number that tracks their portfolio gains/losses.Yeah I'm kinda curious how anyone can claim we're in a recession when these guys are ready and willing to fund this crap.

Yes, if any program in America is the champion of fair and equal balance, it has to be Bama. Bear was all about it. No advantages, public or private. Level playing field all the way. And Saban is all about playing even Steven as well.Anybody else find it interesting that Saban is now concerned with "competitive balance"?
"We allow alumni through collectives to get involved in recruiting and other things. That’s always something we’ve always guarded against in college football. I think what kind of competitive balance are we able to create if we allow that to happen, which is not going to be great for fans." - Saban quote from article
This is correct. The people on the top end still have plenty of money during recession and the people on the bottom end aren’t going to have anything no matter how good the economy gets. It’s the group in the middle that feels the swings back and forth.Recessions don't much affect the very wealthy other than a net worth number that tracks their portfolio gains/losses.
