Falcons just scored on a 71 yard dump pass. 14 to 7. It'd suck if Saints lose and Carolina wins.

They have definitely sucked and getting Carr looks like a terrible move. I don't know if it's him or just this offense in general. Been a bad couple years under Allen regardless

I can see this sucking for Saints fans today. Everything happens for them to make the playoffs and they lose.

Going to come down to Green Bay and Seattle both losing in the afternoon. Carolina needs to get 7 here.

I would move on from Arthur Smith. Too many weapons on that team for that level of production.

Dennis Allen needs to be fired regardless of outcome this season. Absolutely horrible Head Coach.
I dunno - they’re going to finish 9-8 with Carr missing a couple games. I’ve seen worse from that franchise.

BTW, Carr is going to finish pretty strong. 10 TDs and 2 picks over the last 4 games.

Carr is looking great. The long ball is his specialty. And that line is taking care of him pretty good

So, if both the Packers and Seahawks lose the Saints are in?

Adding I believe they may only need one of them to lose. Not sure.

The Saints had one of the easiest schedules in the NFL this season….

What was the Falcons coach all huffy about after the game?

Tiki Barber said it best after Matt Ryan spoke up and said you shouldn’t run it in there.
Barber: It’s football. You can do whatever the hell you want. If you don’t like it, stop them.

And then Allen ruins any good will he could have gained with Saints fan base, by apologizing, throwing players under bus, and begging for Falcons forgiveness.

Allen apologized to the Falcons and Smith during his postgame press conference.

"That's not who we are, not what we're about," Allen said, according to Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football.

Allen added that Saints players asked him if Williams - who led the NFL in rushing touchdowns in 2022 but had yet to score this season - could get a TD in the season, according to Katherine Terrell of ESPN. Allen rejected the request and wanted the team to take a knee, but the players ran the play anyway. Allen called it "unacceptable."

The back that had the Pick 6 should have scored. I thought points for and points against mattered in the Saints situation.
Points didn’t matter. Seattle would win tiebreaker over New Orleans with Strength of Schedule and Strength of Victory which both count before points come into play. Rams and Packers have tiebreaker over Saints because they both beat the Saints.

Seahawks also have a better conference record in tiebreaker situation.

Fairly simple but the Saints have to have both lose.

Green Bay wins: Packers get last spot
Green Bay loses and Seattle wins: Seahawks get last spot
Green Bay loses and Seattle loses: Saints are in.
