That said, I think Bama would soundly defeat TCU on a neutral field.
Haha, I just made my "they can beat anyone post" right before the FG attempt.
Bama would destroy TCU on any field of TCU's choice.
I doubt the playoff committee would have a rematch of OSU and UM in the first round, might still end up UGA UM TCU OSU if UM and UGA win today.
So do they keep TCU at 3 to keep Mich and OSU from playing on the first round? If the committee puts Bama in at 4 they have the same problem. Essentially they have to either swap Mich and UGA, not drop TCU or they get OSU and Mich in the semis.
Georgia will win the NC so it really doesn't matter who the other 3 teams are.
Sorry about your post as mine was badly misconstrued. I meant to say there’s absolutely no way that LSU has the players to compete with Georgia. Now if LSU mounts a comeback my post is subject to another change.
I have to agree.... while, "any given Saturday" always applies, they really look good.
For those who think Penn State's TE room is the best in the country....it can't hold a candle to Georgia's.

what kind of crap is the Dr. Pepper scholarship contest (where 2 people chuck footballs into the container)? They had 2 finalists. They run the competition (I think for 30 seconds), and both contestants have the same score (11, I think). Then to break the tie, they have an extra competition (I think for 15 seconds), and both contestants have the same score (8, I think). And then they announce that the one contestant had won the tiebreaker the previous day, so she was the winner (1st place got a $100,000 scholarship, while the 2nd place person got a $20,000 scholarship. The crowd (at the SEC Championship) booed. I don't blame them. Hold the tiebreaker in front of the crowd, not the day before.

The powers to be will make sure that doesn’t happen. Their will be an egregious call against Purdue early and you’ll know.

...if OSU should be ranked 3, ahead of TCU, then rank them ahead of TCU instead of arbitrarily deciding who should play who; leave that to the other bowls. The playoff rankings should be independent of any such thoughts and if it leads to an all B1G semi-final then so be it. Also, for as much as Georgia has already been anointed as the national champion, how is it fair to GEORGIA to have to play a STRONGER team in the semi-final? If OSU would otherwise be ranked 3 and is artificially ranked 4, why should GA have to beat OSU instead of beating TCU?
