Maybe a few Duke players & coaches should attend handshake class on Monday huh??

Shesheffski stayed out there to shake hands.

On the flip side, while obviously caught up in the win, it would have been nice for davis to have said a few nice words about Shesheffski in the post-game interview.

Kansas is a solid well balanced team, but certainly not a great team. They are fortunate to have been strengthened by playing Baylor and Texas Tech and the rest of the conference throughout the year.

AND they are peaking at the right time…..the second half of the Miami game continued into tonight’s game. They had to play well to win tonight……I didn’t feel safe until under 2:00 left tonight.

Good luck to you Monday night sir.

I mean that.

”Perhaps the most jarring scene came from former Suns owner and longtime USA Basketball managing director Jerry Colangelo, who wept in the hallway when stopped to discuss with ESPN the end of his friend's career. "It's not the way he wanted it to end, and the same with me," Colangelo said, his voice quivering. "I thought it was going to go on forever. It had the makings of a double-overtime, incredible last-second shot.

"It was two really good teams. I told him a couple nights ago, 'You don't have to win anything more. The story has already been written.' But I wanted..." Colangelo's voice trailed off, and he politely ended the interview and walked away. The takeover of emotion underscored the kaleidoscope of joy, finality, history, appreciation and heartbreak that flowed through the entrails of the arena on Saturday night.

Colangelo's desire for his friend to go out on top mimicked the common sentiment around the country, as Krzyzewski potentially winning his last dance provided the type of red meat story line that would have given Monday night the billing as one of the most anticipated NCAA title games in history. Perhaps the highest compliment of the breadth of Coach K's career is that an NCAA final featuring Kanas and North Carolina -- both of which bleed different hues of fluorescent blue -- will be viewed as a disappointment in terms of ratings and the caliber of spectacle.”

You know, fans can say all they want about K and I’ll just laugh at them. The “rat” comments and whatnot. Pure unadulterated jealousy. the actual practitioners of the sport, those IN it all speak glowingly of K, and at the end of the day that’s what matters. Show me another coach that invokes this type of reaction from people OUTSIDE of the program when they retired. I’ll wait….

Ah, no!

Tar Heel players, fans, and coaches have NOTHING to be jealous about.

DOOK. o_O has really nice classrooms and excellent profs. Granted, unc ballers have no use for them, but they still should envy DOOK. o_O ‘s commitment to academics.

And Coach S had a hell of a career. Clearly one of the game’s best ever, on and off the court.

So UNC fans show zero class and no earned respect towards the winningest college basketball coach of all time with as many national championships as it’s taken 2 UNC coaches to accumulate because……. They’re just a$$holes? I mean respect is due where it’s earned. I showed nothing but respect to ‘Ol Roy while he was on campus because he earned it. He was a great college basketball coach. Top 10 for sure. All while hearing “rat” comments and and watching UNC fans such as yourself post silly memes. And for what? Why do UNC fans hate K? Because he won? Wait, I remember hearing “he whines to the refs” quite a bit. You know…. That thing ALL coaches do. If that’s not it, I don’t know what else there could be. Please, help me understand here. Why does everyone outside of the UNC circle have great admiration for him while everyone inside the UNC circle despise him? And don’t give me rivalry crap because I know PLENTY of duke fans that have had nothing but class and respect for Roy.

Going way off on a tangent but if it helps you feel better than I'm all for it.

Discussion is good food.

Keep on.
