A&M is 4th in the nation in sacks per game (4.1).

We are dead last nationally, tied with CO at #132, allowing 5.0 sacks per game.

Missouri is 11th with a little over 3 sacks per game and they had 6 on us.

Surely there has to be some scheme, something, the coaches can do to mitigate this. Anything. It's utterly futile to just send Rattler out KNOWING he's going to get sacked over and over. I just don't even see the point in playing if they're just gonna run the same thing out there. It's the definition of madness. They get paid north of $10,000,000 to come up with solutions.

I said last week they should smuggle in weapons, and no one took me seriously so maybe this week they put some brass knucks under the gloves of the OL.

Roll the pocket, get rid of the ball quickly, keep a RB in to block, these are about the only things you can do to prevent sacks. Having no run game means the D doesn't have to put any extra men in the box and can have 7 in coverage on pretty much every play.

I guess not calling many pass plays would limit the number of sacks.

Sprinkle in screens and maybe even a few qb draws.

Rattler could line up at punters depth for the snap and pass from there - gives him a little more time.

“You know what the difference between hitting .250 and .300 is? It’s 25 hits. Twenty-five hits in 500 at-bats is 50 points There’s six months in a season. That’s about 25 weeks. That means if you get just one extra flare a week, just one, a gork, a ground ball — a ground ball with eyes! — you get a dying quail, just one more dying quail a week and you’re in Yankee Stadium.” Damn dem numbers...
