Pardon me if this has been mentioned. I didn't see it with a cursory glance over the first few pages.

Anyway, I'm just now noticing that the bracket gets flipped this year. The teams that win their first two games switch sides of the bracket. When looking at the updated bracket just now, I thought there was a mistake. It appeared they put Ole Miss as the "winner" of the LSU/Vandy game, when in fact Ole Miss and LSU switched sides.

I don't see the need in this. Thoughts?

I think the main reason they do it is to avoid teams playing each other 3 times in the same weekend. In 2005, we lost the second game of our bracket to Florida and came back to beat the same Florida team twice to make it to the title game.

I don't think it makes much of a difference, but I think the reason is to mix things up so that teams don't face each other as much.
