Nobody is clean. However, perhaps it should be who will cheat the most. Or who will be the most flagrant or something like that.

Beware the schools that say "we want to win no matter what." Alumni will do anything and spend any amount of money to win. Look to Alabama and Ole Miss in that regard.

who have voted for Croom so far, please step forward and explain where you get he idea that he is most likely to cheat.

Also Porkchop this is why I put most in the title. Not who will, is is most likely to.

I like everyone jumping on Saban. I didn't see that coming.

Edited to add: I like that idea Todd4State.

Mine:
1) Tubby
2) Phat Phil
3) Nutt

the one with the highest % likelihood to cheat. They are all at 100% in my book. I guess you are meaning in a particular situation. They all are 100% likely to cheat. But, they might not all cheat in a particular situation. Semantics. My apologies for that.

However, whoever thinks Croom would cheat the most would be and idiot in my book. I will be the first to say that I don't think Croom has proven himself to be a winner yet. But, most likely to cheat? That's ridiculous. In fact, I hypothisized a year or so ago that we had a problem in that Croom didn't really understand how recruiting works, what one can get away with, and what one can't, etc. I worried that he was too clean in recruiting.

They do all cheat in some capacity. I don't see Croom intentionally initiating a severe infraction on purpose just to get a recruit. Diamondreb what you say?

They don't all cheat. Boosters cheat. It is just a question of how much communication, through many avenues, does the HC have with the booster. Also, how much is that booster acting on his own or by some coaches direction. I think with the internet and availability of recruiting information, most boosters are acting on their own.

Fulmer is the only one, I could imagine that would communicate through assistants or whatever to boosters to help land recruits. The rest, I think, just turn a blind eye.

I put Petrino, but I could have just as easily saif Fulmer.

I'm not sure any coaches cheat the way they did 20 years ago. I think now its more not stopping it from happening. The criteria I used was, if presented with the scenario of cheating, which coach is the most likely to do nothing.

...that Coach Croom won't have anything to do with a recruit with his hand out. He would never knowingly engage in any form of cheating. That is not to say there are no "surrogate fathers," among MSU Alumni, he just wouldn't know about them. Proof in point, he quit recruiting Alonzo Lawrence, he quit recruiting Cordera Eason and Derrick Davis, and didn't recruit Terry Grant. This is no criticism of Nutt, but rather a comment on Orgeron.

Are those idiot's votes any different than yours of Tubby & Nutt?

What has either Tubby or Nutt done to suggest they would cheat? Neither is a traditional top 3 recruiter in the SEC. And neither has ever been involved with severe infractions that I know of.

No just kidding. I voted Saban. I think all coaches cheat but if I rank them in order of how much I think they use cheating in recruiting it's like this

1. Saban
2. Fulmer
3. Tubbs
4. Miles
5. Croom
6. Petrino (will move up when he figures out the SEC)
7. Meyers
8. Nutt
9. Spurrier
10. Richt
11. Brooks
12. Johnson

He would never knowingly engage in any form of cheating.
Why must you insist on making statements that you can't possibly substantiate?

The man played for and coached under one of the most corrupt head coaches in history.

He might not be the person who actually cheats. And he might lay down some edicts about what we will not do and what we will do. But, he knows we cheat.

If there really is some desire to differentiate between degrees of cheating: I think some head coaches are personally involved in it and some aren't. I think that some permit any kind of cheating (up front large cash payments) and others limit cheating to small time stuff. There are infractions everywhere. But, the Albert Means (that's the name, right?) situations don't happen all the time with all coaches.

I voted fat phil. We know he is a piece of **** and tenn. has been caught but not punished how many times?
Tubby is a monumental piece of ****, who was spawned by olemiss. He seems to have mellowed since the whole episode where they tried to put patrino in his place a few years ago though. But he will still cheat.
Patrino, enough said.
Saban, has already demonstrated at bama that he will break the little rules and i imagine the pressure over there will make him break some bigger ones also, or at least look the other way as the boosters do.
Nutt, it doesn't appear that he worries enough about recruiting to put fourth the effort to cheat, especially for the short period of time that he is at olemiss. He is a creepy bastard though.
Meyer is a possiblity.
The rest aren't worth discussing.

like they would to me for some reason. Tubby because we all know how he isn't a man of his word. If he could lie to an entire fan base about staying with a job at their school he could most certainly lie about his involvment with recruiting. With Nutt it isn't so much about what he has done in the past as much as it is what he is faced with now. He has a long way to go to build a contender and a lot of booster money around him. Nutt just seams to have that crazed look in his eye like he could do something shady. Shaky or not that's my reasoning.

Top SEC Coaching Cheaters
1. Saban-He would screw his mother over for a dollar (or a million dollars)... he has openly lied and will stop at nothing to be the best at his profession.
2.Tuberville-Dunno who he had to swindle to get picked first in the west... just wait until his war eagles come rolling into Starkville... Pegues and Co. are going to light it up on ESPN!
3.Petrino-Did anyone see the Atlanta Falcons situation?
4.Fulmer-He's been eating players for years, that's just not fair.
5.Miles-He has to be up to something down in Baton Rouge...
6.Spurrier-(see Saban) just older
7.Nutt-He has a player, may be players, who cannot read. Even if the NCAA approved it that just blows my mind.
8.Brooks-no comment
9.Richt-Lots of respect for this guy(see Florida game last year)
10.Meyer-He has Tim Tebow on his team the guy has been doing Mission work all summer, and it would be great to be a Florida Gator
11.Johnson-Does not really have an opportunity to cheat
12.Croom is a saint when it comes to coaching.

needs to spend some more money, because we aren't spending nearly enough to win.

Among current SEC coaches... Fulmer or Brooks. I can't explain why I would suspect Brooks, I just do.

probably the picture the media has painted of him as being a slime ball for moving around so much. i don't know that he cheats but not liking him helps me believe that he does.

of coaches of schools that want to win at all costs. I sort of wish we were like that. Well, hell, I'm torn. I guess I'm not in for "at all costs." Maybe more costs than we are willing to pay....hell, sorry, I am babbling.

time for UGA to start cheating. Nobody would see it coming. I guess nobody would care if Vandy cheated. And nobody considers the Ol' Ball Coach a possible cheater? Interesting....

But why does everyone think Richt is a saint? The guy seems slimy to me. If one player had gone too far in the Florida game you would have had a really dangerous situation. (Edit to add: if anyone ever did that against State I would hope that Croom released the dawgs!) Tuberville is shady....but the guy is a motivator and he never really gets players that are blue chippers. He just gets guys that will buy into his system. They all cheat....but putting Croom as the MOST likely to cheat? With the list of guys that are SEC coaches? Maybe sour grapes? Just a bit?

You are such a fukcing dumbass. I just don't know what to say. The guy breaks thru and wins a couple of games and has some talented guys committed for the following recruiting class and now he's a top 5 in the SEC cheater. Right, loser.

but who are you referring to? At the time of this post 133 people had voted. Are you singling the 5 people that voted for him out? You have got to think they are doing that just to spite a MSU board. Anyone in their right mind knows Croom isn't the biggest cheater in the SEC.
