This year SEC teams defeated:
Big XII champion (Bama)
Big XII runner-up (UGA)
ACC champion (UT, USC)
PAC 12 champion (UF...not one of the SEC's best)
Big 10 runner-up (UGA)
SEC has also won 4 CFP in a row (3 different teams), 6 of the last 8 titles and 13 of the last 17.
The conference is certainly top-heavy (aren't most?) but there's no question the SEC's top teams are the standard-bearer in college football. And it's not particularly close.
Not that I'm happy to just be IN the conference with other good teams. Maybe one day we can ascend to the top.
