A fan's interest is ego-based. A player's interest is future-based. Teams are just the vessel.
Well for one thing the 70's are over. Things change. Howl at the moon it'll do just as much good. By the way, the play off system took a lot of wind out of the sails of the bowls system. In addition, the abundant number of bowl games and the pee poor records it takes to get bowling stunk it up as well. Back in the 70's bowls meant more and it actually took a respectable number of wins to get to a bowl.^^^^me before we^^^^

Is this true?Because of NIL, the signing with an agent has no consequence of whether he plays in a bowl or not. Almost all fo these players have agents now, who are not only securing deals, but helping them with taxes, etc.... If he chooses not to play, as a projected first rounder, it would make perfect sense and we all should wish him well.
Don't underestimate the role of ego on both sides of that equation.A fan's interest is ego-based. A player's interest is future-based. Teams are just the vessel.
