How he develops (or doesn't) will be the bellwether for this coaching staff.

Maybe in the future but not now. We’re playing out a season with literally a freshman QB who’s not comfortable with his roll. But we have options. Coaching staff appears to feel he’s our guy and we’re sticking with him no matter what. How he develops (or doesn't) will be the bellwether for this coaching staff.

So your hope is he turns it on overnight and shines next week. What about if he doesn’t? Would you make a change and see what the next man up can do?He'll win some games before it's over with if he continues to develop. He's definitely taking too much criticism. He's a freshman with a big learning curve. I'm 100% behind him.
Seems focused on not throwing interceptions which means overthrowing receivers but still holds the ball in one hand when surrounded by defenders like HS ball. He's still learning but coaches need to get him on board with protecting the ball.Needs to get control of the turnovers. It's a major problem.
We've seen Ashford and he's about the same (maybe a bit better runner). He was great against... Akron. He's also 1 and done. No point in pinning our season's hopes on him.Maybe in the future but not now. We’re playing out a season with literally a freshman QB who’s not comfortable with his roll. But we have options. A lot of this would be moot if we would protect him a little bit and run block a little! I’ll give you last year with all the injuries, but not this year, it all starts up front!Maybe in the future but not now. Agreed! There's absolutely ZERO excuse for the OL this year - none! Most everyone is healthy, and we have *supposed* talent across the 2-deep. We can't be waiting around until week 8-9 for them to "gell" or the coaches to figure out the best 5......A lot of this would be moot if we would protect him a little bit and run block a little! Lonnie Teasley means Dowell Loggains is not the worst coach on staff.Agreed! There's absolutely ZERO excuse for the OL this year - none! ''The Great Wall of Carolina'' OL is obviously still under construction and the ''mortar mix'' is not quite right.Agreed! There's absolutely ZERO excuse for the OL this year - none! I didnt start that thread, but I'm sure I piled on. I saw enough from him this week to amend my previous week's assessment that he was not an SEC caliber QB. I'll amend my earlier impression to add "but he could be some day." He does have some incredible raw athletic talent and, as the OP stated, it will come down to whether he develops, which is further contingent on whether this staff can develop a QB and, in the era of the transfer portal, if they even get a chance to do soThere was a thread just last week where someone was saying Sellers sucks. Interesting how wide the range of opinions is on here.

Still young, but accuracy is a problem. Missed the wide up receiver for a TD and missed the open guy on the 2 point conversion. His ability to avoid rushers and buy time is amazing. Got to get more talented receivers around him.
Sellers will probably round into form for next season, just when our D is gonna be gutted with losses.
I wouldn't put it all on the OL. We don't have a receiver that can get open... and Sellers isn't great at getting the ball out when he should. The TD to Bennet was great, but the ball should have been on him at about the 10 instead of in the endzone.Hard to argue with that. Our OL was supposed to be so good this year.
