I was also not always a huge fan either but the Vogue article really humanizes her. She will be remembered as the greatest woman tennis player of all time. I hope she can make one last deep run at the US Open to close out her career.

Ok so I couldn’t get through the whole thing. Have another kid and start playing again. I don’t get the big to do why that would be the crux of retirement. Pretty sure we will see her again play. Now whether her form is still there or will be there who knows at this point of her career.

Not a fan. I look at all of the slim and lithe Eastern European tennis women, and then I look at Serena, who resembles a middle linebacker. I hear and read observations on how she was 'unavailable' or missing during drug-testing days, and so my mind has an asterisk attached to her....

Particularly odd was the statement that Serena issued regarding why she was against steroid testing. She said women don't need to be tested because women don't take steroids.
