Admittedly, with all that's been going on last couple days I haven't been watching things like normal, but this storm system affecting MS is producing severe weather will continue to do so through the overnight hours. There are currently warnings out for parts of western MS and this will slowly shift east as the night wears on.

I can't attach a radar image as evidently a 1.2mb image is more than this site can process.

It appears some of the storms are just now crossing the Mississippi River into the central north west part of the state. It's gonna be a long night for some of y'all.

Yeah, this could really suck. The way it's moving it can get on top of you and stay there for awhile. Strange storm.

There is an area from Naches Ron's North of through Jasper city, in Vicksburg into the Delta that most of this action has been sooner to round around. Storms are just starting to fire ahead of this in south-central Mississippi that need to be watched.

Is the weather going to keep moving SE or stall ? Some future radars even showing it even backing up over the metro area the next few hours.

Newton county tornado looks to have lifted or weakened considerably. Simpson county storm hard to tell. What looks like a debris signature may now just be inflow contamination. NWS, though, is continuing with radar confirmed warning.

Moderate risk issued by SPC for SE MS. Tornadoes, some strong, expected in the red shaded area.

They just increased the risk to high in the pine belt area. Going to screw up my afternoon Covington Co hunt. I've had so many tornados just miss me the last couple years there I might pack up.

Currently 9 tornado warnings in effect over south MS and LA. A couple confirmed on the ground. If you live in the moderate risk area take all warnings seriously today.
