I listened to that game via the USC radio guys. They were pretty funny. "Another Ole MIss player is injured. I hope he is ok. .....oh, wow, he is going to be ok." They needed many sarcastericks.

Lane is such a dick, and you don't have to look much further what Stoops said about him on a hot mic to know what the other coaches think of him. I would not be surprised it the tables get turn on that *** hole. Every coach start doing it to him.

This is one of those things where it will inevitably catch up with them and they will get a taste of their own medicine. It will make a difference at an inopportune time and perhaps cost them a game. Dick Cross will cry. We will laugh.

SEC office just needs to tell everyone that fake injuries are going to be a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. Then call it a time or two on the most blatant ones. That'll end it. The risk of the penalty won't be worth it.
The threat of getting caught will need to far exceed the benefit of not.
A 15 yard unsportsmanlike plus taking away a time out.
If you're out of time outs, make it two 15 yard penalties.
That'll stop it even quicker.

The argument against this is that players will continue to play hurt risking greater injury rather than risk costing their team a timeout or penalty.

It seems like a straightforward way to do this would be that any player who is injured on the field must be evaluated by the medical staff and is required to sit out at least through the offensive or defensive series in which they were injured as a precaution for the players safety. There's times Ole Miss would have had about 3 starters left in a series if they did that.

They will find a way around that though. Any time they want a timeout they will sub in their 3rd string kicker and he will fake a cramp coming on the field. They will have dedicated fakers standing by the coach ready to come in at any time needed
