I heard an interview with Sean Payton last year where he said it's really hard to coach up qbs to know how to avoid taking sacks. At the time, it made me think of Shedeur. Might be more than just conspiracy on why he went when he did in the draft

Browns release Tyler Huntley, appear positioned to carry four QBs on 53-man Cleveland roster
The Cleveland Browns trimmed their quarterback room to four active players following the release of Tyler Huntley, according to Adam Schefter. Cleveland "has been planning to keep its other four" quarterbacks. This comes after Huntley led the Browns on a game-winning drive during the preseason finale against the Los Angeles Rams after substituting into the game with in place of Shedeur Sanders.
The Browns make me feel good about being a Raiders fan.
Browns GM: "This is a tough one, do we keep 4 bad QB's or 3 bad QB, let me chatgpt this"
They could have just put Shedeur on the practice squad and assumed no one else would claim him. Who would be crazy enough to claim him as a 53 man player?
And if someone does claim him, it’s not a problem. By all accounts, you liked Gabriel more. Keeping 4 QBs on the 53 is madness. Rid yourself of the circus and tank for Manning. If you believe in that.

I really don’t blame him given what was going on. That guy was hitting him high LONG after the play was over. The stupid thing was going after his face mask. Either the gut or an uppercut under the mask. Round house punch to the task mask doesn’t work. If you’re gonna get tossed, make it count.
See, this doesn't help. When you are the backup, you need to just be quiet and this kind of "support" doesn't help.
Remember with Tebow, the circus that followed him. Coaches don't want that with a backup.
He's a marginal NFL prospect with no standout traits. He should be doing everything he can to not do stupid **** like this. Best chance was to try and make the practice squad. Strike one on that.

He is third string now, so it’s no longer a problem that he is on the 53. And he’s on the same shaky ground as any rookie QB3. The real test for him is can he make no news until next summer.
Once Deshaun returns, Sanders will be back to QB4.
Shadeur made a scene about getting subbed out in the 4th quarter of the last preseason game. This clown is not the kind of guy you want in your QB room.
Leave it to the Raiders to bail out the Browns from having to keep four quarterbacks. And giving the Browns a 5th round pick for "Little Mittens" Pickett is just as bad of a gift.
